About Ultimate Tic-tac-toe: New Rules

The big board is made of small tic-tac-toe boards. Win a small board to claim its square on the big board, and get three in a row on the big board to win the game. Three game modes range from quick matches to slower, more strategic ones.

Play against the computer or with a friend on the same device. It works with a keyboard, mouse, controller or touchscreen, and it is colour-blind friendly.

Skeptim made it with the TIC-80 fantasy console. It is open source and has French and Italian translations.

The rules take a minute to explain, but every move matters, so it is a good game to teach someone quickly and then play again and again.
