Privacy
Short version: no accounts, no cookies, no ad trackers.
On your device
Your favorites, recently played games, your star ratings, your comment nickname and your light/dark choice are saved in your browser’s local storage. A random device ID is also stored there so you can rate each game once. Clear your browser data and all of it is gone.
On our server
We count visits, page views and play clicks per day, which websites send visitors to us (for example a search engine), and for each visit the first page, the country (which Cloudflare works out from the connection; we don’t keep your IP address for this) and whether it’s a phone, tablet or computer. These are daily totals, not records about you.
When you rate, comment or report, we store a scrambled (hashed) version of your device ID. With comments we also keep a hashed version of your IP address for 30 days, so moderators can stop abuse. We can’t turn these hashes back into your device ID or address.
Search terms are counted (without anything that looks like an email or phone number) so we know which games people are looking for.
Tips through Ko-fi
When you open “Buy me a cocoa”, Ko-fi’s tip panel loads inside the page from ko-fi.com. Nothing from Ko-fi loads before you open it. The amount, name, message and payment you enter there go to Ko-fi and PayPal under their privacy policies; we never see your payment details.
Games on other sites
Games open on their creators’ websites, which have their own privacy policies. Some show ads. Never type passwords or payment details into a game.
